Making things right in our community.

Victim Offender Mediation
VOM is a powerful process that allows a safe environment for victims to face the offender that caused them harm. Victim's get to see that the offender takes responsibility for their crime, to ask the questions that only offenders can answer and to negotiate a contract to repair the harm of a dispute or crime.

Community Group Conference
CGC is a chance for the voice of the community to be heard as well as the victims' voice. Community representatives are trained to provide the community view of the crime, the disruption and harm caused and the appropriateness of an offender's remorse and his or her offers to repair the damage of the crime. RP's allow the offender to return as many times as needed to complete their work and make repairs and amends.

Circle of Support and Accountability
COSA provides a circle of support and accountability for offenders that need help in dealing with re-entry into society from crimes, alcohol or substance abuse or lack of living skills. Using the wisdom and modeling of regular community members, the offender can receive a helping hand in finding a way out of a life of crime or addiction into a life of responsible living.

Letters of Responsibility and Apology
These letters are a tool for assessing the responsibility that an offender takes for their crime. To succeed at writing a heartfelt apology requires the development of real empathy in the offender. Empathy is the best predictor of staying "straight". These letters are never sent but are valuable to probation officers in assessing the viability of an offender's re-entry into society.
